Pocket Nappies

If you care for your pocket nappies properly you will keep them looking and performing at their best. Below is a list of tips and also some DONT’S - that can harm your nappies and result in leaks.

After you have washed and dried your pocket nappies to make using them even easier store them close to baby changing area stuffed and snapped down into the desired fitting position ready for use.

DON’T use a barrier or balm cream with these nappies- it will leave a greasy residue on the stay dry inner which is very difficult to remove. If you have to use a barrier cream only use a small amount and always use our thick nappy liners (Little Green Earth lets) to prevent cream getting onto the nappy.

DON’T use ANY bleach products. Chlorine bleach is a strong chemical and will break down the fibre in your nappies. If you have stains, hang your nappies in the sun, this will naturally remove any stains left on after washing.

DON'T use fabric softener. It will make your pocket nappies become water repellent and will cause leaks!

DON'T wash or dry on HOT or HIGH HEAT! The PUL layer (waterproof outer) is meant for low heat only! Preserve the life of your pockets nappies.

DON'T use tea tree oil in the washing maching, it will coat the nappy fibres and cause them to become water repellent and will cause leaks!
